Claus Boesser-Ferrari

German musician Claus Boesser-Ferrari is one of the most creative stylists of the international acoustic guitar scene. In addition to remakes of rock classics by The Doors, The Beatles and The Police, melodies from Western Cinema, jazz classics by Miles Davis and Charles Mingus, he showcases his own original compositions, leading his listener through lyrical soundscapes and rhythmic groove cascades. Boesser-Ferrari also writes and performs music for theater companies in Germany and Austria. He has collaborated with Ralph Towner, Marc Ribot, Fred Frith and Iva Bittova, among others.

The Necks

The Necks are one of the great cult bands of Australia. Abrahams. Buck and Swanton conjure a chemistry together that defies description in orthodox terms. Featuring lengthy pieces which slowly unravel in the most mesmerizing fashion, frequently underpinned by an insistent deep groove, the eighteen albums by The Necks stand up to re-listening time and time again. The deceptive simplicity of their music throws forth new charms on each hearing. Not entirely avant-garde, nor minimalist, nor ambient, nor jazz, the music of The Necks is possibly unique in the world today.

Stress/Distress

Stress/Distress is an electronic duo created by Lebanese musicians Fadi Tabbal and Mme Chandelier with the intent of writing soundtracks for films that were never conceived. Fadi Tabbal is the man behind the renowned Tunefork Studios and a fulltime member of rock bands The Incompetents and The Bunny Tylers. He is also a specialist in sound design and sound conception, having worked on a variety of installations for the Sursock Museum and the Feel Collective, as well as projects for filmmakers such as Rania Rafei, Chadi Aoun and Nadim Tabet. Mme Chandelier is the moniker of Anthony Sahyoun, lead guitarist of famed post-rock quartet Kinematik.
